Lavender gilded,
with translucent crowns; dancing
with the breeze and bees.
The light on my French lavender (L. stoechas) captured my attention this morning. After watching for a while I thought I’d play around with different cameras, techniques and angles to try and capture the magic and majesty of the gorgeous purple flowers swaying in the teasing breeze, the blue sky, the wave-like sound of the leaves and the way their movement strobed patterns of light and dappled shade. With the bees visiting it was such a vibrant choreography of high spring.
I didn’t manage it, sometimes there’s no way to preserve the beauty of a moment you just have live it, but I had fun trying.
