Woodland Blues

Yes, it’s bluebell season and I spent 12 miles today wandering around looking for them and finding them in abundance.  I set off for a morning hike along the bluebell trails to enjoy the moment the whites and yellows of early spring give way to the greens and blues of mid spring.

There is something therapeutic about a good walk when your only companions are the sounds of the breeze and birdsong, your boots and your breath.

Oh and a young buck and a heron.

I took a lot of photos in woodland but I also loved this one of the meadowland and the nettle, often overlooked, rising so majestically above the more eye catching wildflowers that were the subject of most of my other photos.
